Thank you for helping us collect powerful stories that connect generations and break the stigma around menstrual and hormonal health! We are so excited to take these stories to the next level with video! Here are a few tips to help you make your story as good as possible:

✅ VIDEO GUIDELINES

  • Length: Keep your video under 1 minute and 30 seconds

  • Format: Shoot in vertical mode (portrait, not landscape) Think Instagram!

  • Take: All in one continuous take—no editing needed

  • Lighting: Film in good lighting (natural light is great!)

  • Sound: Choose a quiet place with little to no background noise

  • Framing: Film from the waist up, centered in the frame

🗣️ WHAT TO SAY

Start your video like this: "Hi, my name is [Your Name], I’m [Your Age] years old, and this is my [first period story / menopause story / miscarriage story / fibroid story, etc.]."

Then briefly share your story — what you remember, how you felt, what you wish you knew, or anything that shaped your experience.

Wrap it up with: "And that’s my story."

✨ Optional: End with a positive message or word of encouragement for someone going through a similar experience.

💌 EXAMPLE: "Hi, my name is Maya, I’m 32 years old, and this is my first period story. I was 11 when I got it at school and didn’t know what was happening. My best friend gave me her sweater to tie around my waist. Now I’m proud to say I talk openly about periods with my niece. And that’s my story. To anyone who feels embarrassed or scared — you’re not alone. We’ve all been there, and it gets better."

Thank you for sharing your truth with us!
